Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp ended up delayed again, though this time the Switch game was pushed back due to the war in Ukraine. Nintendo announced it would be pushing back the title out of consideration of things happening. It was supposed to appear digitally outside Japan on April 8, 2022.
Here is Nintendo’s full statement explaining why it delayed Advance Wars 1+2. As a reminder, the two games both involve invasions by hostile armies as part of their storylines.
In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.

This isn’t the first time Nintendo delayed an Advance Wars game due to current world events. Something similar happened with the original Advance Wars. It released in North America on September 10, 2001, a day before the terrorist attacks in the United States. As such, it didn’t show up in Europe until January 2002. It didn’t appear in Japan until a 2004 compilation.
It is also the second delay for this particular title. It was originally supposed to appear in December 2021. That delay was done in the name of “fine-tuning” it.
Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp will come to the Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe. A Japanese release hasn’t been announced.
