What sets Aurion, legacy of the Kori-Odan apart from other action-RPGs is that it is set in an African fantasy world. Most other games in the genre take from European or Asian fantasy.
You play as prince of Zama, Enzo Kori-Odan, and his new wife Erine Evou after they have been exiled by her brother. Your task is to retake your positions on the royal thrones by rounding up support from around the kingdom. Doing so also opens Enzo and Erine’s eyes to the political and existential dilemmas tied to their positions as King and Queen.
While Aurion is influenced by African culture, it is set on a planet called Auriona, upon which an energy has been found and is used in daily life to help with a whole range of activities. Those that use this energy in battle are called Aurionics. Enzo and Erine are among these people, having the ability to increase their power and use advanced fighting techniques for a short time under the influence of this energy.
As such, Aurion is a fast-paced brawler that gives you access to loads of fantastical combos with which you defeat your enemies. You can see the game, and specifically its fighting mechanisms, in action in the trailer at the top.
If you like the look of Aurion, legacy of the Kori-Odan consider giving it a vote on Steam Greenlight.
