Acquire announced that their Tokyo Game Show 2018 showcase title Scrap Rush!! will be released for Nintendo Switch on the eShop in 2019. The game has players running across a grid map to collect trash in order to power up and beat the opponents. The game is being directed and made by new staff at Acquire, who joined in 2017 and 2018. The rules are simple – collect the most scrap to win! However, just collecting what’s on the field isn’t enough to give yourself an edge, so you’ll need to defeat your opponents by crushing them with scrap blocks and collect their remains as well. You can even power up if you collect a certain amount of scrap, which increases your running speed and block pushing speed.

Sometimes, bonus events may occur, like a Scrap Meteor hitting the field, or Recyclwhales appearing to give more scrap. Utilize these chances to level the playing field or stage a revenge assault!

Using the scrap collected from battling opponents, you can unlock new content like special blocks and gimmick panels. The Nintendo Switch digital release is also set to have a Challenge Mode where you can team up with friends to take on several maps in a row in order to take down the Dark Scrapper.

New to the Nintendo Switch version is the appearance of a newer model of Scrap Robot who’s able to use magnetism to gather scrap quickly! The older models see the newer models as rivals who need to be taken down a peg.

Scrap Rush!! is being made by Acquire freshmen for the Nintendo Switch eShop, and is set to come out in 2019.
