It was condimeant to be. There will be one more Splatoon 2 Splatfest. While it initially seemed like the July 21, 2019 Chaos vs Order Splatfest, where chaos and Pearl won, would be it, there are extenuating circumstances apparently. So Nintendo will host one more Splatfest from May 22-24, 2020.
For this for real last Splatoon 2 Splatfest, a returning matchup is coming back. People are being asked to get saucy again. Do you side with Pearl and think mayonnaise is the best thing to slather on your food? Or do you side with Marina and believe that ketchup is the absolute best?
This truly is a blast from the past. The great mayonnaise versus ketchup debate started all the way back in August 2017. It was quite a feast, with people digging in and getting messy with mayo and ketchup-colored inks. As a reminder, back then mayonnaise ended up being the winner in North America, Japan, and Europe. We’ll have to wait and see if history repeats itself next month.
Splatoon 2 is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. this next Splatoon 2 Splatfest will begin at 3pm PT/6pm ET on May 22, 2020 and end at 3pm PT/6pm ET on May 24, 2020. Remember that if you don’t care either way and want to vote based on Off the Hook member, Pearl likes mayo and Marina loves ketchup.
