In commemoration of the manga’s 40th anniversary, a new Fist of the North Star anime has been announced. The show will have a new voice cast and staff working on it. When it comes to the direction of the new anime, it’s supposedly planned to follow the manga more closely out of respect for the source material. The new voice actors are also engaging with the existing Fist of the North Star media to get inspiration for reviving the characters. The show is planned to utilize the latest technology in Japanese animation to showcase the story.

The anniversary of Fist of the North Star is celebrated on September 13th each year. It has been 15 years since the release of the fifth movie, which was Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshiro.
