While Atlus still haven’t announced a release date for Catherine, we know its during the winter of this year.

As we get closer and closer to this unspecified date, Atlus have been ramping up promotion. A couple weeks ago, they did a quick Twitter promotion using the game’s poster, and this past Monday saw the reveal of the game’s intro movie.

Today, Catherine director, Katsura Hashino, updated the game’s developer blog with a few words for fans. From here on out, Hashino says, we’re going to see Atlus commence an aggressive advertising effort for Catherine. You can expect the game’s release date to be announced soon as well.

…despite the fact that the game’s "master" (this refers to the "final" retail disc) is not yet complete. Hashino says, with a sweat mark in parentheses, it should be fine though.

Regarding the merger announcement, Hashino says that aside from a possible office location change, the development side is unchanged.

Bit by bit, the team is growing to work on several titles. Next year, Hashino hopes the development team will work on a variety of genres. Oh, and the Persona team is currently hiring, so if you’d like to work with them, send in your application.

In closing, Hashino gives away a neat tidbit regarding the original Catherine promo image that Famitsu magazine debuted the game with. Here, you might remember it:

The image was actually created using Catherine’s 3D model as a base:
