In Judgment, Greg Chun is the English voice of Takayuki Yagami, a lawyer turned detective. To help people prepare for the adventure and understand what the role meant to Chun, a two minute video interview has been shared on the PlayStation YouTube account. In it, we get insights into the role and watch as Chun actually records dialogue for Yagami.
Thanks to the way the video is pieced together, Chun is able to give examples of what working as a voice actor is like while footage from sessions is played. For example, he notes that while recording, “The challenge is to not to get into too much of a pattern, where you lose the freshness of it. To try and say every line as if it is the first time you’re saying it.” It then shows him delivering a line Yagami says to a corrupt individual he investigates at the beginning of Judgment.
