It’s currently being put out to writers so it’s in the earliest stage possible at the moment. However, Seth Grahame-Smith of KatzSmith Productions, one of the producers, says that he’s “looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”

The Scott being referred to there is, of course, Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights At Freddy’s. He said that the “story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to.”

What’s remarkable about Five Nights At Freddy’s success is that the first game came out in August 2014. Since then there have been two more to make a trilogy. And now, in less than a year, it’s got the greenlight to become a Hollywood movie. That’s impressive, especially when you consider it’s the work of one guy.
