It isn’t uncommon for Capcom April Fools’ day jokes to show up every year. In fact, the Street Fighter spin-off Neco Drop: Cat Friends Nation is one for 2020. Another involves an incredibly expensive piece of Mega Man jewelry. To be more specific, it is an e-Capcom Store Mega Man ring priced at 690,000,000円 (~$6,445,980). Fortunately, tax is included in the price. [Thanks, Rockman Corner!]

The little details are what make this Mega Man ring really fun. The silver ceramic ring would have allegedly been made by Dr. Light Lab. Also, it seems this would have led into a Mega Man jewelry line based on the Mega Man X series, as Sigma and Mac rings were also teased. (Yup, Mac is back, and this time it isn’t because he joined Dr. Doppler.)

Here are the full mock-ups Capcom created for this Mega Man ring.

If you want to look back at another Capcom April Fools’ Day gag, it’s a good time to remember The Great Dog Attorney. Capcom played around with the kanji for Dai Gyakuten Saiban to make it Inu Gyakuten Saiban and ran with it back in 2015.

As far as more recent Mega Man games go, Mega Man X DiVE is now available on mobile devices in Asia and Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
