Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features a Zombies game mode that is packed with its own daily challenges and weapon camos. However, if you can’t figure out how to get toxic damage kills in MW3 Zombies, you’re in the right place.
How to get Toxic Damage kills in MW3 Zombies
Toxic damage kills are some of the most confusing objectives you’ll ever find in MW3 Zombies. How it works is the game will ask you to get toxic damage kills in one of two ways while in various Operation Deadbolt matches. You can see this objective appear as either part of your daily challenges in Zombies or even for some weapon camos.
Unfortunately, the game also doesn’t actually explain what toxic damage kills are. There are two main ways to get these types of kills, and they have to do with both the Brain Rot ammo mod and the Experimental Gas tactical. Either way will work for the most part when it comes to completing these challenges.
How to get Brain Rot and Experimental Gas
If you want to get the Brain Rot ammo mod in MW3 Zombies, you must find them in supply crates throughout Urzikstan. This is entirely random and unreliable, but if you are able to find it, it will trick out your current weapon like an attachment. Every shot you land will deal toxic damage for the match, making it easy to complete the challenge.
The other way is a bit more reliable but takes time. There is the Experimental Gas tactical item, which you can unlock through the Armory Unlock system after completing five daily challenges. Throw it in a group of undead to put a cloud of toxic gas on them. This deals slow toxic damage on its own, and any shots you land on them while they are in this gas will count towards your toxic damage kills.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
