All Confirmed Characters for FFVII Rebirth

FFVII Rebirth is the second game in the Remake trilogy, expanding the world and cast to much larger than it was in the first game. Ahead of its release on February 29, 2024, we already know about quite a few confirmed characters who will be available in the game. Some of these even include some new playable party members.

FFVII Rebirth confirmed playable haracters

There are currently eight confirmed playable characters in FFVII Rebirth. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be able to use all eight of them throughout the game, as some may only be usable at certain points in the story.

  • Aerith Gainsborough
  • Barret Wallace
  • Cait Sith
  • Cloud Strife
  • Red XIII
  • Sephiroth (He is seen playable during a certain story section alongside Cloud.)
  • Tifa Lockhart
  • Red XIII
  • Yuffie Kisaragi

Confirmed supporting cast members in FFVII Rebirth

In addition to the playable core cast of characters, there is also a plethora of supporting characters already confirmed for FFVII Rebirth. Some of these are returning characters from the past game, others were in the original Final Fantasy VII, and even more are brand new characters we’ve never seen before.

Here is the currently known supporting cast of characters:

  • Andrea Rhodea
  • Bugenhagen
  • Chadley
  • Choco Billy
  • Dio
  • Doc Sheiran (New character.)
  • Elena
  • Professor Hojo
  • Reno
  • Rude
  • Rufus Shinra
  • Vincent Valentine (He is confirmed as appearing in a brief cutscene. There’s a chance he is playable or a guest character at some point in the game, but this is unconfirmed.)
  • Zack Fair. (He is seen carrying Cloud in a cutscene. There is a chance he is playable at some point in the game, but this is unconfirmed.)

FFVII Rebirth will release for the PS5 on February 29, 2024, and its exclusivity arrangement ends on May 29, 2024.
