Final Fantasy VII Remake Board Game Materia Hunter Arrives in 2024

As part of Square Enix’s 2023 Tokyo Game Show announcements, the company revealed Final Fantasy VII Remake Board Game Materia Hunter. It is a card game that will launch worldwide. It is already available to pre-order on the Square Enix Online Store. It costs $44.99 and will release in April 2024.

It turns out this is a competitive card game with two playing options. One is for two people to play against another. However, there will also be a cooperative option that puts two teams of two against each other to get Materia. People will use 20 character cards to collect some of the 80 different Materia in play. The winner will be the one who gets the most Materia in the end.

Quite a bit of Final Fantasy VII Remake news came up ahead of and during TGS 2023. For example, we know which Rebirth summons will be unlocked if you have save data from the first game. We also know the latest entry will be playable at TGS 2023.
