Soothe Bell is one of the best held items you can give a Pokemon you want to increase your Friendship with in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It greatly increases the rate of Friendship with that Pokemon over time, as you travel across the region, battle opponents, and level up.

Where to Get the Soothe Bell in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

There are a couple of ways to get the Soothe Bell in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It is a potential item drop in both the base game and the DLC, The Teal Mask. Look for the glowing Pokeball items on the ground and pick them up for a chance to find this held item.

The only problem with that method is the randomness. You aren’t guaranteed to find the Soothe Bell this way. If you want a simpler and honestly less stressful way of getting this item, you can also buy it. The Delibird Presents shops in the Paldea region sell this item for only 5,000 Pokedollars.

Here are the three cities with Delibird Presents stores you can buy the Soothe Bell from:

  • Mesogoza
  • Cascarrafa
  • Levincia

You can get as many Soothe Bells as you need from these locations. In addition, you can head to Cascarrafa and talk to an NPC with a Marill next to them in the middle of town to see the Friendship rating you have with your Pokemon.

Which Pokemon Could Use a Soothe Bell to Help Evolve?

The Soothe Bell is crucial for quickly raising Friendship and evolving some of the most popular Pokemon in the series. Here are just some of the best Pokemon that evolve by raising their Friendship level with you:

  • Eevee: For only a few of the evolutions like Espeon and Umbreon.
  • Snom
  • Pichu
  • Riolu
  • Munchlax
  • Type: Null

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC is available for Nintendo Switch. The Indigo Disk will release in Winter 2023.
