Much like Final Fantasy VII, Ever Crisis features the ability to raise your own Chocobo. While Chocobo breeding was more of the focus in the original Final Fantasy VII, this version of the farm feature functions as a way to passively obtain materials instead. However, how fast your Chocobo can obtain materials will depend on their Rank, which means you will want to get your hands on more of these birds as soon as possible. This guide will break down how to get more Chocobo Medals and Chocobo in FFVII Ever Crisis so you can start recruiting better birds and make the most out of your expeditions.
How to Get More Chocobos in FFVII Ever Crisis
In order to get more Chocobos in FFVII Ever Crisis, you will need to obtain Chocobo Medals. These can be used to obtain randomly colored Chocobos at varying Ranks with random stats. Chocobo can be purchased with Medals through the “Exchange” button once you have navigated to the Chocobo Farm. This can be found on the Home screen. As mentioned previously, with Chocobo Medals, you will be able to purchase a handful of different Chocobos at the following Ranks:
- Chocobo Rank H – 5 Medals
- Chocobo Rank G – 100 Medals
- Chocobo Rank E – 1,500 Medals
- Chocobo Rank F+ – 1,000 Medals
Keep in mind that Chocobo will rotate on a timer. So even if you purchase all of the available Chocobo, the store will repopulate itself after a set period of time. You can check this on the upper right-hand side of the screen, as seen below:

How to Get More Chocobo Medals in FFVII Ever Crisis
Now, getting Chocobo Medals to obtain more Chocobo is an entirely different affair. You can find Chocobo Medals at random on the Chocobo Farm, but there is a more consistent way to get your hands on the coveted item. This is done through Chocobo Expeditions. On the left-hand side of the screen at the Chocobo Farm, you can tap the Expedition option. This will bring up the Chocobo Expedition menu. From here, you can assign a single Chocobo and a character of your choosing to explore a specific area, with Chocobo Medals guaranteed upon every successful expedition.
