Suikoden I and II HD Remaster Delayed

The Suikoden I and II HD Remaster just got delayed, with Konami not offering an exact updated window for the rerelease. It was announced back in September 2022. At the time, the company said it would show up in 2023. Now both the Japanese and English websites note there is no release window.

Here’s the official announcement. Konami noted this delay is to ensure the overall quality of the final collection. It also mentioned that the goal is to still release it on modern consoles and PCs “as soon as is possible.”

We would like to thank Suikoden fans everywhere for your ongoing passion and support for the Suikoden series.

Regarding the planned release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, we have reached the conclusion that despite the very best efforts of our dedicated development staff to release the Remasters in 2023, additional time is needed to ensure the quality performance and gameplay experience our users deserve.

The entire Suikoden team is renewing our efforts to bring Suikoden I & II HD Remaster to release as soon as is possible.

We will share further release information as soon as it becomes available, on our official social media accounts and official homepage.

We appreciate your understanding and sincerely hope you will continue to lend Suikoden your support.

It has been some time since we’d seen updates about the game’s progress. Prior to this, Konami would occasionally release video clips of special attacks on social media.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is delayed and now has no set release window. It is in development for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam.
