Erik and Mia have the option to add many monsters to their party, but the chances of that happening is random upon defeating them. As such, the best way to give yourself a chance of adding a monster to your team is to use the Buddy Bullets in Dragon Quest Treasures. These items up the chance of the monster befriending you. The higher the version of bullet, the greater the effects of it.
How to Get All Types of Buddy Bullets in Dragon Quest Treasures
First and foremost is the basic Buddy Bullet in Dragon Quest Treasures. This one is the one that players use initially. You can purchase it in the game or craft it using a recipe from Bricky Rix’s Emporium.
Here is how to make a regular Buddy Bullet:
- 1 Faerie Fluff
- 1 Slime Crown
- 3 Princely Powder
You can get most of these materials from Bricky Rix’s Emporium, too.
Later in the game, you’ll be able to obtain the recipe for the more potent Better Buddy Bullets. Here are the materials you need to gather to make these:
- 2 Agate of Evolution
- 2 Crimsonite
- 3 Faerie Fluff
- 5 Slime Crown
- 5 Princely Powder
As you can see, it includes the initial three ingredients from the past recipe, but in higher quantity, plus a couple of other rarer items. This particular type of bullet moderately increases the chance of the monster befriending you upon use.
There are also the Best Buddy Bullets, which greatly increase the chances of obtaining a monster. You can purchase this recipe from the Emporium late into the game for 150,000. Here are the materials you need to get if you would like to make this rare item:
- 3 Uber Agate of Evolution
- 5 Crimsonite
- 5 Faerie Fluff
- 10 Slime Crown
- 10 Princely Powder
Lastly, there are also the Bestest Buddy Bullets. As the name implies, these are the best possible version of this highly important item, guaranteeing your chance of befriending a monster. Only a handful of them are given to you near the end of the game and there is no way to replenish them once you use them up, so use them carefully.
