It’s time for Arcueid to explore some new—or maybe not so new—frontiers. According to an article in Type-Moon Ace Volume 15, there will be a PC release of the Tsukihime: A piece of blue glass moon remake. There is no information on when to expect it. [Thanks, HDKirin!]
Because we don’t know the release date, it’s hard to say if Western players will be able to play it as soon as it becomes available in Japan. That being said, we also don’t know when the localized version for consoles will come out. Though Type Moon announced that it planned on releasing an official English version of Tsukihime: A piece of blue glass moon for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, we only know that it will appear sometime in 2024.
Tsukihime originally came out in 2000, and Type-Moon released it at Comiket. So the game originated as a PC one. It wasn’t until the remake version, which came out in 2021, that it appeared on other consoles. A piece of blue glass moon only adapts the Arcueid and Ciel routes. The sequel, The other side of red garden, is in development. It will feature the Akiha, Hisui, Kohaku, and Satsuki routes.
Tsukihime: A piece of blue glass moon is readily available in Japan on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The localized version will come out some time in 2024. This could also be when the PC version of the Tsukihime remake will come out as well.
