In Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, Yuma can take on lots of side quests and requests from the citizens of the city. There are multiple requests each chapter that will reward him with DP, which you can put towards giving him better skills or stats in the Mystery Labyrinths. The game helpfully marks out request NPCs so you should be able to find them easily. You can also come back to finish up requests after a chapter is over if you’ve missed any.
Here are all of the Requests that Yuma can take on in Chapter Two of Rain Code:
Note that you can finish all of the Requests in Chapter Two of Rain Code before you start tackling the main story. In fact, you should do so after Yakou sends you off to buy meat buns. This is because you’re going to be spending quite a bit of time away from the main area of Kanai Ward.
“Kanai Ward’s Underbelly”
You can start this request after you leave the detective agency at the Riverbank. There’s a dude lying on the ground nearby and he asks you to take some data on the Peacekeepers to a reporter at the Clock Tower. After you talk to the man in front of the Clock Tower, go to the Mansion near Ginma District. Talk to the woman and then go back to the art gallery in the Ginma District.
Finally, you learn that the reporter is in Kamasaki District near the secret club. The secret club can be a little hard to find but it’s the staircase in the middle of the northern area of Kamasaki District. Return to the Riverbank and finish the event.
“A Gift For the Girl”
You can start this request after talking to the guy outside of Kanai Station. He’s looking for a gift for his girlfriend and wants Yuma’s help. Go to Kamasaki District and follow the quest marker to the second floor to buy some rainwear. You have the option of getting a raincoat or an umbrella. Choose whichever you want. Then go back to Kanai Station. When you get to choose whether you want to tell the client the truth or not about his girlfriend, you can choose whichever you want.
“Lending the Church a Hand”
Go to the Church and talk to the Nun. She enlists Yuma into doing the Priest’s job for the Church since Yuma is responsible for the Church’s current sorry state of affairs. Even if you give the “wrong” answers, you can finish the Request. But if you want the most DP you can get, then here are the “correct” answers:
- Irked Woman: Coffee
- Drowsy Man: Creator
- Cheerful Woman: Something unseen
- Hurrying Man: Lei-Nine
After you’re done all four, go back to the Church and talk to the Nun. Your reward and her reaction to you will change depending on how happy you made everyone.
“Saving the Servant”
To start this request, you have to find the Servant from Chapter One first. In the upper level of Kamasaki District, you’ll come across some dude harassing the Servant. Yuma bravely steps in and has three options as to how to handle the situation. Your choice here doesn’t matter because at the end of the day, the only one that’ll advance the story is to make an accusation.
The Servant is on his way to see a wizard who’ll make him stronger and invites Yuma along. No matter what you say to the Servant, you’ll be able to finish the Request. But for the most DP, say “Will you really become stronger?”
