Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is all about the friends (who may become something more) that you meet along the way to creating the farm of your dreams. Some farming sim games like this one have friendships that degrade over time. However, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life doesn’t have that same issue.

Friendships are permanent in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

The positive part about Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is that your friendships are absolutely permanent. They will never degrade over time without your input. So, while you might feel bad about walking away from the game for weeks or even ignoring the townsfolk for many in-game weeks, you’ll never have to worry about this having a negative effect on the relationship.

The current state of your friendship with each person in town will remain the same no matter how little or often you speak with them and give them gifts. This allows you to play at your own pace in a way, choosing who you want to spend time with as you grow crops, make money, raise farm animals, and the like.

More importantly, this is extremely helpful when it comes to romance. Marriage is a massive part of the story in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, and you never have to worry about your potential love interests becoming mad at you for not talking to them enough.

In fact, you can even romance multiple characters at once, such as both Lumina and Matthew, and it won’t negatively impact your relationship with each one. You are free to go about building friendships with everyone in the town however you like without fear of consequences.

Just make sure that you don’t neglect the potential life partner you’re most interested in, or you might not have them as a marriage option at the end of Year 1.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
