The new Genshin Impact event, Divine Ingenuity: Collector’s Chapter, is live, and HoYoVerse shared some tips for would-be domain builders. The event allows players to build and play custom Domains and earn rewards for doing it. HoYoVerse also previously shared a trailer for the event that was narrated by the mysterious Alice, famed author and mother of Klee.

The event can be accessed outside of Mondstadt after achieving Adventurer Rank 20 and completing Archon Quest Prologue: Act III  “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” Players can then complete Preset Domain challenges to earn Mora, Ore, Talent and Weapon materials, and of course Primogems. There are 5 Preset Domains, with one unlocking each day until they are all available.

Custom Domains allow players to create their own instanced levels using parts, traps, treasures and monsters. Naturally, there are a lot of combinations and details, so HoYoVerse shared some tips in a Domain Message Book on Hoyolabs. The tips explain minutiae such as the difference between Enemy Sets and Enemy Groups, how to use purchased buffs and how artificer experience works. It also explains how to set up triggers to allow you to spawn chests when a button is pressed, or alternatively set up that same button to drop an enemy on an unsuspecting player.
