Historically, Pretty Cure utilized girls for its crime-fighting protagonists. However, the 20th installment of the series, Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure introduced the very first male Cure who is a permanent member of the team. His name is Cure Wing, with Ayumu Murase voicing him. Other roles from Murase include Asuto in Inazuma Eleven: Ares, Setanta in Fate/Grand Order, and Hinata in Haikyuu!!.
However, Cure Wing is a single male character in an otherwise female cast. Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure will feature an entire team of guys. We can see pink, blue, yellow, green, and purple Cures. The purple one looks younger than the green one has a more Japanese aesthetic. Toshie Kawamura, who has designed for the Pretty Cure series, is the character designer for the stage performance as well. More information on the cast and plot will appear at a later date.
Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage, which will be the first stage performance in the franchise, will debut in Fall 2023 in Japan.
