Nintendo announced the next Game Boy Advance game to join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, and it is Metroid Fusion. The predecessor to Metroid Dread will join the game collection on March 9, 2023. The company also shared a trailer showing how the game will run on the Switch.
Here’s the official announcement, which shows Samus exploring the Biologic Space Laboratories Station while searching for the SA-X X parasite mimicking her. It also shows some of the bosses she faces and the abilities she regains.
The SA-X, an unstoppable X mimicking Samus, is on the loose, and it could be just around the corner…

As with other GBA games added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, Metroid Fusion will support creating save states or rewinding.
This marks the second portable Metroid game to be playable as part of the service. The standard Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy collection includes Metroid II: The Return of Samus.
Metroid Fusion will come to the Expansion Pass library on March 9, 2023. A one year subscription to that higher Nintendo Switch Online complement is $49.99.
