Okada Izo And Yoshinobu Tokugawa Fire Off Special Moves in Like a Dragon: Ishin

No Bakumatsu-era game is complete without cameos from famous historical figures, and Like A Dragon: Ishin is no different. In fact, the entire game relies on this, as the protagonist Sakamoto Ryoma and the Shinsengumi he joins are both prominent in Japanese history and historical works. In Like A Dragon: Ishin, Ryoma will have to face off against Izo Okada and Yoshinobu Tokugawa. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Ryoma will not be the only Bakumatsu-era samurai running around capable of special moves. Major enemies will be able to perform powerful attacks as well. Not only will Ryoma have to stay light on his toes, but he will have to upgrade his techniques and equipment as best as he can if he wants to survive these encounters.

Izo Okada, who was a notable assassin during the Bakumatsu era, can create a tornado with his sword in Like A Dragon: Ishin. This tornado can also inflict poison damage onto Ryoma. When poisoned, Ryoma not only takes damage after set periods of time, but he will also not be able to run. Fortunately, Izo changes his stance before he unleashes the tornado, which will give Ryoma time to prepare.

Yoshinobu Tokugawa was the final shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate and in Like A Dragon: Ishin, he can shoot out fire. His special move involves him releasing a beam of fire right in front of him. If Ryoma takes it head-on, it can inflict him with a Burn. You also cannot block this, which means Ryoma will need to dodge to the side to avoid it.

Like a Dragon: Ishin will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC on February 21, 2023.
