Crisis Core FFVII Reunion Will Offer Hard Difficulty Level in Japan

Crisis Core FFVII Reunion Will Offer Hard Difficulty Mode in Japan

The Japanese Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account confirmed the Japanese version of Crisis Core FFVII Reunion will feature the Hard difficulty mode that wasn’t a part of the original 2007 PSP release in Japan. When the game appeared on the PSP in other regions in 2008, it included the ability to switch between the default Normal and new Hard option. However, every region will gain access to this extra mode this time around.

Here’s the official announcement. It confirmed that the Normal difficulty option matches the Crisis Core FFVII PSP experience. Should someone pick Hard mode, it will make for a more challenging experience. Both difficulty modes will appear in the Options menu and can be swapped.

The Hard mode difficulty essentially makes Zack’s opponents stronger. Enemies stats are higher. For example, they’ll be stronger and much more health than usual.

Square Enix shares details about Crisis Core FFVII Reunion adjustments and updates rather regularly. For example, it showed off how the menu UI looked. It also reintroduced characters like the Turks.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will release for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 13, 2022. The original Crisis Core FFVII appeared on the PSP worldwide.
