During the Nintendo Direct for September 2022, Nintendo revealed a trailer for a new Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem: Engage. It will come out on January 20, 2023, and feature past characters from the series such as Marth and Celica. It will return to the tactics element of classic Fire Emblem, as it is part of the mainline series and not a Warriors game like the one that came out before it, Three Hopes.
You can watch the trailer for Fire Emblem: Engage here:
It takes place on Elias, which is a continent that is four realms with a holy land in the center, similar to the setting of Fodlan from Three Houses. From the prologue, past characters such as Lyn and Micaiah are visible as well. The protagonist has awoken from a thousand years of sleep. Visible elements from the trailer include stores, a farm, and some sort of combination move where the characters fuse with legacy units to power up.
There will be a Divine Edition of Fire Emblem: Engage. It will come with an art book, art cards, a SteelBook, and a poster. More information on the game will appear in the near future.
Fire Emblem: Engage will come out on January 20, 2023, for the Nintendo Switch.
