Bandai Namco Entertainment has launched a new music label dedicated to its games, which it named Bandai Namco Game Music. It also utilized the new label name to release the Tales of Arise original soundtrack digitally on platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
In the Japanese press release, the company noted that it will use the Bandai Namco Game Music label to launch more digital releases of soundtracks from its franchises, such as Tales Of, Tekken, Ace Combat, Taiko no Tatsujin, and Pac-Man.
Bandai Namco will also work with other companies to release the music from more related franchises. One such example has appeared with Elden Ring, which From Software worked closely with Bandai Namco to release worldwide. The Elden Ring original soundtrack has also appeared on Spotify and YouTube Music under the From Software Sound Team’s name.
Bandai Namco Game Music is one of the numerous expansions that the company group has made since it launched a rebranding in April 2022. In early July 2022, the group established Bandai Namco Aces, a new company comprised of staff members from Project Aces and ILCA that will develop new console games and their promotional materials, with a focus on the Ace Combat series.
Tales of Arise is playable on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. The title has sold over 2 million units as of April 2022. The game’s soundtrack is now available on select digital platforms, including Spotify and YouTube Music.
