Like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will get a expansion pass that adds DLC to the game. During the June 22, 2022 Nintendo Direct focusing on the RPG, the add-ons came up. Like the previous game, some of it will involve new story content. It will cost $29.99.

The presentation hinted at some of the things people can expect from the add-ons. Some of them will offer new cosmetics that change how characters look. Others will bring in new story content.
Here’s the full roadmap for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC.
- July 29, 2022: Helpful items and outfit color variants DLC.
- Releasing by December 31, 2022: Challenge Battle, new hero character and quests, and new outfits DLC.
- Releasing by April 30, 2023: Challenge battle, new hero character and quests, and new outfits DLC.
- Releasing by December 31, 2023: New story scenario DLC
Xenoblade Chronicles 3Â will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022. The special edition includes an art book and SteelBook case.
