Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Europe and Japan can now play Stardew Valley for free. Starting on June 13, 2022, it is the official free game trial title. This means people have access to the full game for a week. They can make save files and take advantage of all features, like multiplayer. If they purchase the full game after the trial, they can pick up right where they left off. Update: Nintendo of America confirmed it is available in North America for free as well.
As a reminder, Stardew Valley is the million-seller by Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone. People can farm, build relationships with people in town, and fight monsters in its mine. Over the years, free updates appeared to add new content like extra activities and multiplayer.
When it comes to the future of Stardew Valley, Concerned Ape didn’t rule out another update. He suggested that he may never close the book on the game and a 1.6 patch could appear. At the moment, the mobile 1.5 update is in development.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. The Stardew Valley free game trial will last until June 19, 2022 in Europe, Japan, and North America.
