Bandai Namco has shared information regarding various systems in Digimon Survive, one of which being that player choice will change the story and how Augumon will Digivolve. Players will be given choices as they progress through the game, which will dictate how certain events will go. These choices can appear in the middle of conversations with characters. Additionally, information about other gameplay systems has appeared. This includes the breakdown of general gameplay systems. [Thanks, Gamer!]
Two gameplay systems have been detailed. These are the “Free Action” and “Search Action” options. “Free Action” will allow players to choose where they would like to go and who they would like to talk to within a limited time frame. “Search Action” is more concerned with the survival elements of Digimon Survive. This is where players will be able to chat with other characters and make decisions concerning important situations. These decisions will impact the story of Digimon Survive.
The “Free Action” option will allow players to strengthen their relationships with their peers. This option allows players to freely explore the area and speak to other characters while learning about their individual problems. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to discover hidden Digimon, items, and even quest-related items by taking pictures of suspicious places. This can done through the use of an in-game smartphone.
Digimon Survive will release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on July 28, 2022.
