Square Enix revealed that the Final Fantasy XI “The Maiden’s Rhapsody” collaboration event will return in Final Fantasy XIV. The event will begin on April 28, 2022, and last until May 18, 2022. Players will receive unique collaboration armor through event completion. Additionally, users who have already completed the Final Fantasy XI collaboration event in Final Fantasy XIV will be able to replay the event. However, they will not be able to receive the rewards. The rewards are available for characters who are experiencing the event for the first time.
Users who would like the collaboration armor on newly created characters or characters that have not completed the event can receive the armor. The only time the player cannot receive the armor is if they have already obtained the reward on that character. Additionally, users who already made progress in the event but were not able to complete it will be able to pick up where they left off. Players can begin the event in Limsa Lominsa by speaking with Remumu at X:11.6, Y:11.2.
Final Fantasy XIV has collaborated with other Square Enix properties in the past. This has included a Dragon Quest crossover, a Final Fantasy XIII crossover, and other Final Fantasy XI crossover events. During a previous Final Fantasy XI collaboration event, players could take on a giant Shantotto to receive a minion.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
