Takara Tomy is releasing four new Kirby plushies that glow in the dark. The new series of plushies come in two different sizes, with a choice between Waddle Dee and Kirby. The larger plush will cost ¥3,630, while the smaller one will cost ¥1,650. Pre-orders are available in Japan via the Takara Tomy Mall e-store. Both will officially release on April 27, 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
The new plushies are part of Takara Tomy Arts’ new line of glow-in-the-dark merchandise. The Kirby plushies serve as the new product line’s first series of goods. Both the large and small versions use a special luminescent material for the base fabric. Furthermore, the outer layer uses a fuzzy, pastel-colored material.
The smaller plushies come with a ball chain strap and can be attached to backpacks or carried around as a keychain. The larger versions will be 12 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The keychain option will be around three times smaller, at around 4 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall.
