Atlus opened up a new teaser website, and it appears to having something to do with Soul Hackers. Alongside the Soul Hackers teaser website, an official Twitter account is now open. While little is known about whatever this project could potentially be, a reveal will happen in just 4 days. On February 21, 2022, the website’s countdown will end and likely provide some answers.
The website’s loading screen features a short message before users are brought to the countdown page. It reads:
Hello HUMANS,
We want to collect your information.
Under the message, significantly smaller text informs the user that a hack is currently in progress. Meanwhile, on Twitter, a program named Aion is delivering cryptic messages and has predicted the destruction of humankind. Aion asks for cooperation from users and requests they wait for the countdown to finish.
While Atlus hasn’t officially confirmed a connection, another Atlus property exists with a similar branding. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers originally released for the Sega Saturn in 1997 and was subsequently release for PlayStation in 1999. It later appeared on the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 in Japan and 2013 for North America and Europe. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is a first person JRPG, which has players fighting demons in turn-based battles. The general gameplay loop also includes a level of puzzle solving. But again, all will be revealed on February 21, 2022.
