Final Fantasy VII turned 25 on January 31, 2022. To celebrate the occasion and announcements to come, Square Enix shared new FFVII logo designs. There are two options. While the text for both can be different, the image accompanying it is always the same. Each one features art of FFVII heroes Cloud and Zack with antagonist Sephiroth.
Here’s the official announcement. It also notes people should prepare for 2022. As a reminder, Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase both teased new FFVII projects alongside the games we know are on the way. Producer Kitase also said FFVII Remake Part 2 news is coming this year.

Cloud tends to be the hero in every FFVII installment. Zack also appears in entries, though he’s only the main protagonist in Crisis Core: FFVII. Sephiroth is ever-present in the Compilation of FFVII. He most often appears as a villain. However, games like Before Crisis and Crisis Core feature him in more heroic roles.
Final Fantasy VII is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. FFVII Remake is out on the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFVII The First Soldier can be found on mobile devices.
