Baki: King of Souls Mobile Game Will Come Out in 2022

A new fighting game for Baki, titled Baki: King of Souls, will appear on mobile devices some time in 2022. Like most mobile games, the game itself will be free, but will have microtransactions. While details are limited, there is an official Twitter account to keep up with the game’s progress and development. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

Baki: King of Souls is part of a project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series. It will feature characters from both the Baki and Baki Hanma series. The game’s Twitter account will announce playable characters leading up to the game’s release. Baki and Baki Hanma are available for streaming via Netflix.

There are multiple other collaborations and campaigns to celebrate Baki‘s 30th anniversary. For example, Pop Up Parade figures of Baki, Doppo, and Kaoru are now open for pre-order via Good Smile Company. Good Smile first announced these figures during WonHobby 34 last year.

Baki is not the only anime series with a mobile game on the horizon. In December 2021, both Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Clover announced that they would appear on mobile devices. Like the Baki game, they will be free-to-play with gacha elements and microtransactions. Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade and Black Clover Mobile will also come out in 2022, though the exact release window is unknown.

Baki: King of Souls will appear some time in 2022 on Android and iOS devices. There is currently no news as to whether Baki: King of Souls will have an overseas release.
