The official announcement tweet reveals that the negative emotions on the battlefield have resulted in the appearance of curses. It also shows an image referencing the first opening theme of the anime. The collaboration will debut a few days after the release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. For those living in Japan, a free collaboration gacha roll will also be available if you log into Knives Out at any of the 77 participating movie theatres.

While details are still scarce, past anime collaborations have brought various costumes, weapon skins, and game modes to the battle royale. NetEase also revealed that an in-game event will reward players with a costume of Yuta Okkotsu, the main protagonist of the upcoming prequel movie.

Previously, NetEase collaborated with Capcom for a Resident Evil collaboration event. It also collaborated with various other anime franchises over the years, most recently with Cells at Work!,  Attack on Titan, and Shaman King.

Knives Out is immediately available on iOS and Android devices. The Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration event will run from January 1, 2022, to January 14, 2022.
