There’s a new holiday message from NieR series creator and Creative Director Yoko Taro, Producer Yosuke Saito, and Composer Keiichi Okabe. As expected, it sums up recent NieR announcements. For example, it reminded people NieR Replicant passed one million in sales. However, it is also full of Yoko Taro being himself. For example, at one point he joked that the series is finished.
It came up when Saito asked Yoko Taro and Okabe what new things they might want to do, particularly with the NieR series. Yoko Taro said nothing. Okabe asked, “You are okay to leave it here, then?” He then responded with the following.
That’s right. We announced it here today, folks. The NieR series is now finished! …But, you never know. I might do more if I get a big ole’ pile of money…
Saito then replied, “A crazy amount of money it is, then. I’ll just go and sort that out!”
Here is the full clip.
