Bandai Namco unveiled a new Dragon Ball asymmetrical title coming to consoles and PC in 2022. Similar to Dead by Daylight, Dragon Ball: The Breakers will feature seven non-superpowered survivor players completing objectives to escape one villain from the Dragon Ball universe. Frieza, Buu, and Cell are the first three mentioned. Each of whom is also controlled by a player. The game will be set in the same universe as 2016’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and players will be able to link their save data.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers Producer Ryosuke Hara addressed some additional points regarding the upcoming title in a new video.

According to Hara, a closed beta test for Dragon Ball: The Breakers is planned for PCs in the near future. There is no mention of a beta coming to other platforms. While no price has been announced for the game so far, Hara claims that the title will be launched “at an accessible pricing.” Players will be able to customize their survivor character using familiar Dragon Ball character skins and other pieces of cosmetic equipment. These cosmetics can be earned in the game or can be obtained via in-game purchases.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be released on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam in 2022. A closed beta test is coming soon for PC.
