White Cat Project Evangelion Collaboration Adds Playable Pilots

Colopl revealed a new White Cat Project collaboration with Evangelion which adds fully voiced playable pilot characters. In addition to an entirely original scenario, the collaboration also rewards players with the Spear of Longinus after completing a specific quest. The Evangelion collaboration will run until November 30, 2021. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

During the event, players will have access to a special collaboration gacha featuring Shinji, Asuka, Rei (Rebuild), Mari, and Kaworu. Players can roll the gacha for free once every day. Notably, all of the characters are voiced by their original actors, including Megumi Ogata as Shinji Ikari. The five Eva pilots are modeled after their appearances in the recent Rebuild of Evangelion movies.

Players can also acquire the original Rei Ayanami by completing the collaboration story scenario in normal mode. The original Rei will require Rei (Rebuild) in order to unlock. Similarly, players will also receive the Spear of Longinus once they complete a specific story mission. Any character with the Lancer job can equip the Spear of Longinus.

Finally, players can also dress up White Cat Project characters in Evangelion plugsuits, though at a significant cost. Colopl is offering premium jewel packs at ¥10,000 each (about $87). These packs include jewels, collaboration character and weapon tickets, and other upgrade currencies. From the second purchase onward, players will also receive special collaboration outfit tickets for Charlotte, Oscroll, and Rekuto.
