Dead or Alive: Dimensions Has “Smashing” 3D Effects

Recommended Videos

Interesting that the trailer for Dead or Alive: Dimensions opens with Ryu Hayabusa, who is more of a guest-star to the series, but is arguably more popular with fans by way of Ninja Gaiden. Team Ninja also have a Ninja Gaiden game in development for the 3DS, but details of this project have yet to be shared.

Dimensions is a chronicling of the first four Dead or Alive games in terms of story. Team Ninja are hoping to attract new gamers to the series by allowing them to get caught up first. As with the team’s other projects, Team Ninja leader, Yosuke Hayashi, is involved with its development.

While you can’t see the effect in the trailer above, Tecmo Koei tell us that the 3D effect on the 3DS will be most prominent when you’re smashing someone through a wall or a church window. Dimensions doesn’t have a release date yet, but stay tuned.
