DMM Games and Koei Tecmo have revealed more Swordboys set to appear in Touken Ranbu Musou. Comprised of three characters, the third group will have Heshikiri Hasebe as its leader.
In history, Heshikiri Hasebe was forged in the 14th century and later owned by the Kuroda, one of the renowned clans during the Japanese Warring States period. The original sword still exists to this day. The Fukuoka City Museum is currently preserving it.
As the third group leader, Heshikiri Hasebe will be accompanied by two other Swordboys in the same team. We have identified the silhouettes behind him as Tomoegata Naginata and Yagen Toushirou.
Touken Ranbu Musou will have 15 playable Swordboys split into five groups. So far, we have learned that the first group will feature Mikazuki Munechika with Tonbokiri and Sengo Muramasa. The second group, which has four members — including the leader — will have Kasen Kanesada lead Hyuuga Masamune, Ichigo Hitofuri, and Namazuo Toushirou.
Touken Ranbu Musou will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via DMM Game Player in Japan. DMM Games and Koei Tecmo will reveal the fourth character group on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. The companies have yet to announce a release window for this upcoming action game.
