Evangelion 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time is the latest revision of the final movie in the Rebuild of Evangelion series. Khara added a few new scenes that did not appear when it first launched Evangelion 3.0+1.0 in Japanese theaters in March 2021. The movie made various records in Japan as millions of tickets were sold in the theaters.

The final Rebuild of Evangelion movie became Hideaki Anno’s most grossing movie. It also managed to gross over 10 billion yen by the time it ceased appearing in Japanese theaters on July 21, 2021. Khara recorded the final revenue from the movie at 10.23 billion yen (~$93.4 million).

In an interview with Collider, Hideaki Anno expressed his interest in exploring the 14-year gap between Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo. However, it does not confirm whether Anno will actually start producing such content in the near future.

Evangelion 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time is immediately available to watch worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. People can watch the movie in eleven dub languages. The platform has also included all three prior titles from the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy.
