Viz Media has unveiled a new trailer for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon – The Second Act via its official Twitter account. The show the second season to the Inuyasha follow-up anime, Yashahime. Note that the content of the trailer may include spoilers from the previous season of Yashahime. The Yashahime: Second Act trailer is also available through Sunrise’s YouTube channel.

Yashahime: Second Act will continue the story of Yashahime, which followed three young girls connected to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. Towa and Setsuna are the twin daughters of Sesshomaru and Rin, while Moroha is the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. Towa and Setsuna were separated during a forest fire, with Towa being pulled into the modern world for ten years. When they reunite, Setsuna had lost all memories of her sister and began working as a demon-slayer. Together, they encountered Moroha and went on a journey to recover their missing past.

The official account also revealed some key art for the season, featuring Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha. You can also see Inuyasha characters like Sesshomaru, Kagome, Rin, and Inuyasha, as well as a new character named Rion, who will be voiced by Saki Fujita. Fujita provided the sample base for the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid software, as well as voiced characters such as Attack on Titan‘s Ymir and Assassination Classroom‘s Ritsu.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon – The Second Half will premier on October 2, 2021 in Japan. It will be available via simulcast on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu in North and Latin America. Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block is currently airing the first season of Yashahime.
