In July 2021, Sony announced that PlayStation 5 sales had reached 10 million units worldwide. This includes sales of both the digital and standard model of the PlayStation 5. Sony also revealed information regarding PlayStation 5 games sales figures. This included a breakdown of how many copies Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart have managed to sell.

However, this new financial report also reveals the combined sales for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles during Sony’s first quarter. As it stands, the combined sales for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles within the quarter reached 63.3 million. 10.5 million of those sales are from first party PlayStation titles. Around 71% of these titles were sold exclusively through digital downloads.

Additionally, Sony has seen an increase in revenue during its first quarter. Quarterly revenue is up by 15%, with Gaming Service and Network revenue rising 2% during this period. These results come from a three month period, which ended on June 30, 2021.
