Babylon’s Fall Closed Beta Test Dates and Features Revealed

Square Enix has shared details regarding the upcoming closed beta test for Babylon’s Fall. This includes features players will be able to access, along with a brief Q&A section regarding how the closed beta test will function. Additionally, Square Enix confirms that progress from the closed beta will not be carried over into the main game. The closed beta test period will begin in Japan on July 29, 2021. The North American one will begin on August 5, 2021, with the European event scheduled for August 12, 2021. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The times for the closed beta tests are as follows:

  • In Japan: 6pm JST/5am ET – 10pm JST/5am ET
  • In North America: 10am JST/9pm ET – 1pm JST/9pm ET
  • In Europe: 10am PDT/7pm CET – 2pm PDT/11pm CET

The closed beta test will focus on stress testing servers, along with checking the various systems that will appear in the game. This includes quests and accessing basic features and functions like the Base Camp. Several NPCs will appear in the Base Camp and will provide different services to the players. Players will be able to pick up quests, accept missions, receive rewards, and change their character appearance during the closed beta.

Additionally, Square Enix states that any information about the Babylon’s Fall closed beta test may not be shared with others. This includes posting any images or video clips to social media websites such as Twitter. However, the embargo will be lifted as the closed beta test progresses. Square Enix has also shared the system requirements for the closed beta test.

Babylon’s Fall is in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The upcoming closed beta test will be exclusively held on PC through Steam.
