People will have another JRPG to play in Fall 2021. NIS America announced the North American and European release date for The Caligula Effect 2. It will show up on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on October 19, 2021 in North America and October 22, 2021 in Europe. There’s also a new trailer.
This means there will be almost a four month gap between the Japanese The Caligula Effect 2 release date and the worldwide ones. It launched in Japan on June 24, 2021. This is significantly shorter than the ones between the previous games. The original The Caligula Effect appeared in Japan first in June 2016, before a worldwide release in May 2017. Then The Caligula Effect Overdose launched in Japan in May 2018, but didn’t show up everywhere else until March 2019.
To go along with the latest news, there’s a new trailer. This one focuses on the struggle to return to the real world from the fake one. People can watch the Go-Home Club in battle.
The Caligula Effect 2 release date will be October 19, 2021 in North America, and October 22, 2021 in Europe. It is already available in Japan. People will be able to play The Caligula Effect 2 on the PS4 and Switch.
