Yostar and Bandai Namco will hold a live stream to deliver more information on the Azur Lane – The Idolmaster collaboration on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 20:00 – 21:30 JST (07:00 – 08:30 AM ET). It will be available on YouTube and Niconico. Voice actresses who have voiced characters from both franchises will appear as special guests in this stream.
The news page on The Idolmaster Official Web notes that this collaboration will specifically pertain to the original 765 Production. The stream will have Eriko Nakamura, Asami Imai, and Chiaki Takahashi as special guests. The voice actresses are famous for voicing Haruka Amami, Chihaya Kisaragi, and Azusa Miura. Additionally, they also provided voices for Azur Lane shipgirls HMS Victorious, HMS Drake, and IJN Houshou, respectively.
The stream will also invite Tomohito Takatsuka, a voice actor known as an avid fans of Azur Lane. Takatsuka himself was also been in The Idolmaster franchise. He provided the voice for Minori Watanabe in the SideM series.
Yostar and Bandai Namco first revealed the collaboration during the June 2021 Azur Lane live stream. The previous stream primarily introduced the new PR4 shipgirls, which are now available in all regions. The Azur Lane English Twitter account teased that The Idolmaster collaboration will also appear on the global server.
Azur Lane is immediately available on Android and iOS mobile devices worldwide.
