Studio MAPPA gave us our first look at the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation. The teaser trailer debuted during the animation studio’s livestream to commemorate its 10th anniversary. MAPPA also created special key art and a promotional video to celebrate its milestone year.
The Chainsaw Man anime teaser trailer also revealed some major credits. Ryu Nakayama will be directing the adaptation. Nakayama recently worked on Jujutsu Kaisen‘s anime and on Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia. Tatsuya Yoshihara will assist by directing the action, and Makoto Nakazono will be the chief technical director. Next, we learned that Hiroshi Seko will pen the script. Seko has written for Attack on Titan: The Final Season and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
As for the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation’s design, Kazutaka Sugiyama will handle the characters while Kiyotaka Oshiyama will work on the devils. Additionally, Yohei Miyahara will be in charge of designing the screens, Naomi Nakano will be the color design artist, and Yusuke Takeda will direct the art. Finally, we learned that Kensuke Ushio of Devilman Crybaby and Liz and the Blue Bird fame will compose Chainsaw Man‘s music.
MAPPA also provided a special 10th-anniversary video showing off some behind-the-scenes work. The studio also created new key art for the occasion.

Studio MAPPA is currently producing the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation. The manga will resume the story’s second part on Shonen Jump+, Shueisha’s online magazine app.
