Players will assume the role of the Tarnished, a descendant of those who have been exiled from the Lands Between. The lore is built on the foundations created by Martin. The scenario takes place in a world blessed by golden trees and is governed by the children of Queen Marika the Eternal. Fragments of the Elden Ring were taken by her children, which subsequently caused a war to break out. George R. R. Martin helped create the myths of the world in Elden Ring. Miyazaki also states that he is a fan of Martin’s work. He is also pleased with the contributions Martin has made to the game.

Miyazaki mentioned that the story will be told in a manner similar to the Dark Souls titles. However, the information will be easier to understand and piece together. Miyazaki also supervised a lot of the in-game text, as he stated that he tries to read everything he can.

Elden Ring will feature a robust story with several endings. Additionally, players will have access to a character creator. However, the character creator has not been revealed as of yet. Several optional bosses will appear in Elden Ring that players will have the opportunity to challenge. However, the number of bosses needed to complete it is relatively small. There will also not be a specific order in which players need to defeat the mandatory bosses to beat the game.

TheĀ Elden RingĀ release date is January 21, 2022. It will appear on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
