59 Studio and Game*Spark Publishing confirmed a concrete June 18, 2021 release date for Wizardry: The Five Ordeals’ early access. Developers said that the game will remain in early access for about a year in order for them to make minor and major adjustments. Currently, they have not fully localized the game, with some UI elements appearing in Japanese.
The game’s price is still not listed on Steam. However, the developers have confirmed in the past that the early access version of Wizardry: The Five Ordeals will be less expensive than the full version. The developers also note that the scenarios and scenario editor will not be available in English at launch. They are working on fully translating the game.
Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a remaster of a 2006 spin-off of the Wizardry series from 1981. Jun Suemi, who previously worked on the Brandish series and the Guin Saga, designed the monsters. Basiscape, known for their work on 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, made the music. The game will have 110 scenarios to choose from when the game officially launches, not including fan-made scenarios that will become available once people start using the game’s scenario editor function.
Wizardry: The Five Ordeals will be available in early access on Windows PC from June 18, 2021.
