Back when nWay announced the Ryu Ranger and Chun-Li Ranger’s Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid DLC, so were additional costumes. Now we have our first look at one. The developer shared a peek at a Ryu Angel Grove Class of 93 skin.
The skin is a direct reference to the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that debuted back in 1993. One preliminary picture even shows him with Zordon. The rangers that season attended Angel Grove High School. While Ryu still has his trademark headband, he also has a 90s look. He has a black leather jacket, a red flannel shirt tied around his waist, and black pants.
And here’s a video showing Crimson Hawk Ranger Ryu in his Angel Grove Class of 93 skin.
If people want the skin, they’ll have to buy the Ryu and Chun-Li Street Fighter DLC bundle. The $12.50 pack gives people both characters and some alternate costumes for them. (Both characters can be purchased separately for $5.99 as well.)
This is the second recent share related to the Ryu Ranger. Back on April 20, 2021, a Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid mashup theme song paired it with Ryu’s theme.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. The Street Fighter DLC pack will appear on May 25, 2021.
